In 2003 a dilapidated farm at the hamlet of Ten Arlo near
Zuidwolde was remodeled into the new premises for FAME
and Berginvest by Johan Fieten. The interior was arranged in
a modern and light way, while the exterior regained its scenic
significance. It was taken into account that the building is a
national monument. Since FAME was transfered to Zwolle, the
property has offered an inspiring work place to Johan Fieten bv
and some small-scale companies. The building is a good
example of how an existing location can get a new purpose,
without the visual image of the environment being changed
and even being enhanced.
